How we work
Seven commitments we hold to on every project, large or small.
- 01Directly
- You talk to the engineer writing the code. There is no account manager in between, and no handoff to a different team once the proposal is signed.
- 02With help where it earns its place
- When a build needs more hands, or a specialism outside our own, we bring in people we have worked with before, on a defined part of the scope. You are told who and why. The principal engineer remains your technical lead and point of contact.
- 03Honestly about scope
- If something will not work, or is not worth building at the price it would cost, we would rather say so before you pay for it than explain it afterwards.
- 04With standard tools
- No unusual or private frameworks, and nothing that only we know how to run. The system can sit in your cloud account or in one we manage for you. When the code comes to you at the end of the project, any competent developer can pick it up.
- 05Carefully with your data
- We ask for the lowest level of access the work needs, and no more. Passwords and keys are kept in a secure store, real customer data stays off local machines and out of test data, and we sign an NDA before we look at anything of yours.
- 06In the open
- Working software every week that you can run yourself. Problems are raised when we find them, not saved up for the deadline.
- 07Finished
- Documented, deployed and handed over - the full code and the intellectual property assigned to your team on final payment. Support afterwards if you want it, and nothing built to keep you tied to us.
